State of the Ahhhhh, We begin!

rainstardragonOnce begun is half done, at least according to Mary Poppins. For my sanity I'm going to listen to the lady with the seemingly bottomless bag and the talking flying umbrella. The people doing the bedroom floors are coming tomorrow and all that is left to take out so they can work are the beds, which have been left overnight so we have somewhere to sleep. The living room, sadly...

Well... It's a good thing daughter and I are small, and that Merlin has a few things to occupy himself with. Once those are done the plan as I understand it is to move stuff back into the bedrooms and then the rest of the stuff out into the pod to do the other floors.
I DO wonder what people think of all the musical instruments that are moved out to the corner of the living room (guitars are NOT going out in the storage overnight to get messed up by temperature fluctuation, thank you) and the shrouded family stang that's been moved from the corner of my room out to the corner of the living room. Those may be the less strange of our possessions, actually...
*giant Scooby Doo... big purple exercise ball... hundreds of pounds of books... fake Christmas tree night lights...*
Daughter did comment on all the "nice clothes" I have that I just don't wear. *sigh* I really do need to get back into wearing those again and not looking like some frumpy house frau. Nothing against house fraus, I just need to start dressing properly again and look like I DO actually value myself. It's not like a good number of those dresses and pretty clothes can't have layers of things under them.
Yes, that's why when on Skype I rarely enable video in a call.
