A few days ago I posted a video review of
Christopher Huh's "Keeping My Hope" onto
my Youtube account. I got a note from the author on my Goodreads this morning letting me know that he's gotten a couple more interviews about his book (so happy for him!) and that one of his friends had found the review. I was glad that he liked the review, and very surprised (and happy) that he'd embedded the review on his website for the book and was asking permission to use it on Goodreads and Facebook.
Of course I gave permission! I wasn't ever expecting my little review to go further than where I'd put it, but if it helps him possibly then I am all for it. I wish that when I was his age I'd been able to get as far with my stories as he has. I think that historical fiction graphic novels are a great way to help other kids learn history (I want him to do more).
