Chapter 24 in Selkies' Skins is sitting at 10 pages so far and still going. I'm finally at a point where I can get back to the culture and less about "school" things in Kirsty's story. Interestingly enough the chapter is actually centering around Morvan and a lesson that the school personnel are trying to teach him by making him serve the part of Guardian for a ritual certain friends of Kirsty's are doing for their yearly cultural observances. Something that is going to be interesting while I write the draft is seeing how the different aspects will go together since the members of that group are of varied backgrounds. A big question I have before I get to the group being taken to location is... will a return to the sea for such a short time be a boon or a curse for Kirsty? Just because I've outlined the story doesn't mean those characters are going to do what I expected.
