Flash Fiction Fridays 10: Rainbow story/poem

A summons rolls through the web
Summoning there to the step
A shimmer of light that dances
Setting into lyric stanzas
The message she must swiftly bear
Beneath her lord’s imposing stare
Across the land so fast and grand
Distributing by her hand the master plan
The hopes and dreams he has penned
Rooted in the past where is stemmed
The tree that connects earth and sky
Where the Norns do quietly ply
Their trade of spinning from beginning
The story that is slowly thinning
To an end, the finest thread
That ties the living to the dead
The rainbow bears many names
And is not and yet is the same
Bearing hope and bearing love
The messages of Beyond, Above
When you see her, remember her
A fleeting thing, a passing whirr
In the machinery of Life
Bringing Peace and Bringing Strife.
