Haiku Catch Up!

 Shell

Gentle swirls lead

Into depths deep within

Hardened walls

 

Time

It flows so swift

Passing hastily through

My cupped hands

 

Missing Ink

I miss the spread

Of ink over paper

But costs mount

 

Nightmare

Time stretches taut

When waiting on promised pay

And bills loom

 

Anticipation

Counting down the days

Soon my arms will be filled

And I can breathe again

 

Fingers

The empty space

Between my fingers

Needs your own

 

Uphold

Promises always

Lose their shine without

Effort to uphold

 

Bodhisattva

I wish I could

Attain a bodhisattva’s

Peace while here

 

Dragon

The dragon flails

Through sky and shifting sea

I too wish to ride

 

Haiku

The dash of words

Impresses but a moment

Then drifts away
