Audiobooks and babbles
Apr. 3rd, 2014 08:17 am Illya Leonov sent me the recording of Selkies' Skins: Castle and Well, Chapter 21 for the audiobook edition last night, after the open mic session at the Trotsdale library in SL. I am so looking forward to when this project is done so that I can release the audiobook. His reading is pure magic.
He's compared my writing in this chapter to Hitchcock--Hitchcock!!! I can hardly believe it. My work has been compared to Peter S. Beagle (of whom I am a big fan) and now Hitchcock. This is high honors.
As for open mic night, that went well. Several of my friends were there and I read the first two chapters of "The Last Unicorn." Illya wants me to have a regular slot, so I have to work out a time so I'll be in the schedule. I've got several books to read after that one is done too.
